Connect and Collaborate with Azure B2C and B2B Services
Devindra Chainani and Arvind Suthar from the Microsoft Azure Product group joined OCG CTO James Cowling for a lively discussion about the new Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) services that are becoming part of Microsoft’s Azure Active Directory environment. B2B and B2C services will add even more value to the Microsoft cloud.
B2B addresses the issue that most companies, especially at the enterprise level, work with partners, vendors, suppliers, etc. in a very dynamic environment. With Azure B2B, your business partners use their own sign-in credentials, which frees you from managing an external partner directory, and from needing to remove access when users leave the partner organization. If the relationship is project-based, simply disable the groups associated with the project after it’s completed!
B2C allows customers to store credentials for millions of customers/consumers in a safe, reliable, and cost-effective manner. It also allows organizations to support authentication with popular identity services like Facebook and Google, with more to be added. And with pay-as-you-go and the first 50,000 consumer identities free, it’s very easy to get started.
